My publication tells a story of my mental health. Starting with ‘t’, it’s me trying to open up my throat–where the vocal cords are located. They’re sewn shut because it is hard to open up on something most people can’t understand. The second letter, ‘e’, is made of wood and has sharp edges, as if protecting itself from harm. Next, ‘d’ depicts what goes on in my head. There are too many projects and it becomes impossible to manage, causing everything to fall apart. The fourth letter, ‘d’, is the ‘spectacular life-changing pill machine’ that miraculously sorts everything out. Lastly, ‘y’ portrays parts of my favourite stuffed animals manipulated together using Photoshop. They’re my great comfort, joy and solace from the madness within.
